MOTORCYCLE HIRE RATES & SERVICES

Customers are required to provide ::

2x passport size photographs, a copy of passport and visa, copy of international drivers permit and a copy of domestic license.
For Indian nationals; 2x passport size photographs, copy of passport, or PAN/Voting/Ration card, address proof, copy of domestic license. Confirmation of family approval for bike hire.

Security deposit of Rs 20,000/- for 350cc and Rs 40,000/- for 500cc - Refundable Rs 150/- fee for affidavit for bike buy back agreement.

All forms are to be completed and signed, documents are submitted along with the security deposit. The bike will be supplied and the customer is taken for a test ride in order to assess the rider’s ability and experience. All hire fees and refundable security deposit are to be paid in full at the time of hiring the bikes.

NOTE: Customers that are signed up for a length of time and at a rate but bring it back early, will be charged at the higher previous shorter rate period if it is applicable. Any damage to the bike or use or loss of spare parts is deducted from the advance security payment on the return of the bike

In order to secure a bike for your travel requirements it is essential to pre-book and pre-pay a holding fee of Rs 5,000/- per bike, this is adjusted against your bike rental charge.

Contracts that are signed for a length of time at a specific rate but are returned earlier will be charged at the higher rate of the shorter period if it is applicable.

Bikes are not available for less than 5 days

Luggage racks, bungies, 21 litre fuel tanks spare parts, service assistance for the first 150 kms, insurance, Guide, mechanic and helper for groups, delivery and collection of bikes at designated places, 4x4 support vehicle. Hotel bookings, tours.

We strongly recommend that a deposit in advance is made in order to secure the bike for your travels as there is a greater demand for bikes than availability and we do not wish you to be disappointed.

Bulletwallas facilitates the hire of bikes; we work to ensure that the process of your arrival to Delhi, your accommodation, your bike hire, your journey, the return of your bike, again your accommodation in Delhi and any other requirements are made easy for you.

CONFIRMED DATES FOR HIRING THE BIKE

BOOKING FEE PER BIKE- RS 5,000/- WHICH IS THEN DEDUCTED FROM THE RENTAL CHARGE.
Has this been sent by Western Union, direct bank deposit or cash to secure the booking?
Until we receive this payment, the bike hire is not confirmed.

SECURITY BOND, FOR A 350CC BIKE IS RS 20,000/- AND A 500CC BIKE IT IS RS 40,000/-.
This is paid on the day that you collect the bike.
It can be in any currency (not travellers cheques or credit card).
It is held in safe keeping until you return the bike in good working condition.

RENTAL FEE IS AT A RATE PER DAY TIMES THE NUMBER OF DAYS THE BIKE IS HIRED.
This is paid for on the day you collect the bike, in rupees CASH, less the advanced booking fee.
It is NOT paid at the end of the journey or deducted from the security bond.
If the bike is returned early a higher daily rental rate may be charged.

RENTAL FEES WILL VARY BETWEEN CITIES AND STATES AND NEED TO BE CONFIRMED AT THE TIME OF ENQUIRY AND BOOKING.

EXTRAS REQUIRED FOR THE BIKE SUCH AS LARGER TANK, LUGGAGE CARRIERS, BUNGEES, TOOLS AND SPARES.

Throttle Cable, Clutch Cable, Spark Plug, Ignition Points, Head Lamp and Tail Lamp Bulb, Chain Joining Link, Tyre Inner Tube.

TOOL KIT
Spark Plug Spanner, Double Ended Screwdriver, Spark Plug Spanner, Pliers, Set of Spanners. IF YOU WANT ANYTHING EXTRA SPECIFY OR SUPPLY IT YOURSELF

HELMET, DID YOU BRING YOUR OWN OR ARE YOU GOING TO THE MARKET TO BUY YOURSELF ONE. You can get one starting at Rs 500/- to Rs 1,500 for local ones and better quality helmets are Rs 2,500 upwards.

WHEEL SECURITY LOCK, IT IS A VERY WISE IDEA TO LOCK YOUR BIKE WHEN YOU ARE PARKED.
You can get one in the market starting from Rs 100/- The security of the bike is full your responsibility.

ACCOMODATION
Did we book you into a hotel, did you get a map?
Did you get a receipt for your payment.
If you change your mind and go to different other than the hotel that we have booked you into (at your request) then we at Bulletwallas are liable for the first nights accommodation, a fee which we would have to transfer on to you.
Were you having a airport pick up, if so did you send the flight details?

DOCUMENTATION: WE REQUIRE COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING:
Copies of passport, visa, country drivers license and International drivers permit. Two passport size photographs.

If Indian, please provide ID, Pan car, address proof and drivers license.
If you are under 24years of age and Indian, we would have to ask you to provide verification from a family member stating they are aware of your proposed trip and that there is no problem for you to hire a bike.

ON THE DAY YOU COLLECT THE BIKE
You will be required to complete a number of documents and show originals of your documents. The process of the hire of the bike is explained to you. Bike hire is not legal in India except in Goa and as such there is a process of the rider purchasing the bike for the duration of the tour. The documents provided at the t ime of renting provide evidence of purchase and ownership that satisfies police requirements. These documents would be shown to the police if requested during a police check point inspection

Documents provided are: document of collection and responsibility of the bike, contract agreement for the purchase of the bike, receipt for the money paid.
There is an additional legal buy back agreement to be signed, this document remains with the bike supplier for safe keeping as having this document on your person may create difficulties with you and the police.

The agreement also spells out the terms for hiring the bike and if the bike is returned earlier than is agreed then you maybe charged at a higher rate for the whole rental period or have to pay for the remaining days of the agreed rental period. There are no refunds for the early return of bikes.

Also note: that you are responsible for the daily maintenance of the bike during the period of hire, you are required to check oil levels, chain tension, tyre pressures, battery water levels, ensure that all nuts and bolts are tight. If the bike requires service or has issues then contact the name provided for servicing assistance.

Failure to have problems attended to will only cause you more problems, more delay and more expense. The clutch, gearbox, brakes, cables and piston/rings can be subject to rider abuse when care and attention is not taken. In areas of high dust levels the brakes can wear quickly, as also the air filter will become clogged. Care and attention is required so that you keep moving forward on your journey.

The Royal Enfield motorcycles are robust but old technology and built in India. Do not expect these bikes to be of the standard of modern European, American or Japanese bikes. They are old world classic, they vibrate, leak oil and require regular attention as all of the 1960’s developed bikes do. These bikes are not endurance trail bikes or racing bikes, they are solid road bikes that have been used by the Indian Army and the Indian Police for nearly 50 years with great success in rough conditions. Treat the bikes with respect and they will serve you well, treat them rough and like all things, they will break.

We ensure that you start your journey with good reliable bikes, we request that you return the bikes in good condition having treated them with respect as the next traveller may suffer a major brake down due to your manner of riding.

INSURANCE
Only third party vehicle insurance is provided as is required under Indian regulations. This has very limited effect as you are travelling and if you cause an accident then no one is very interested in making insurance claims. The claim is made on the driver directly and usually in the form of cash compensation. Negotiate quickly and keep moving on your journey. Full attention to what you are doing is your best insurance.

Comprehensive insurance is not generally available on most bike rentals.

Medical and Accident/Travel Insurance, ensure that you have arranged all your travel insurance prior to departure as bike riding in India and some of the places that are popular can be difficult and things do happen. Full attention to what you are doing is your best insurance.
